Terms & Conditions
By accepting the terms of this agreement, I can register as a potential volunteer of the Festival at Sandpoint, and agree that: This agreement is between me and the Festival at Sandpoint (FAS).
1. Code of Conduct. While a volunteer at FAS, I will conduct myself in accordance with the positive energy and good-will of FAS. I will respect all festival-goers, venue owners and staff, other volunteers, and the City of Sandpoint. I will dress appropriately for the general public and for the weather, and I will wear my volunteer t-shirt for all shifts that occur during the festival. I will willingly perform the duties and responsibilities assigned to me by the Volunteer Coordinator and/or as directed by my team manager, and will assist any other FAS staff that requests assistance during my agreed-upon time commitment with FAS, so long as such assistance does not unreasonably interfere with my assigned responsibilities or take me away from my assigned post or designated area of responsibility. In the event of any altercation, unruly behavior, fights or similar conduct by any attendees, I will not actively become involved in the situation, but will immediately seek the assistance of law enforcement or other qualified individuals to attend to the problem.
2. Liability. I understand the risk involved with volunteering, including possible bodily injury. I understand FAS does not provide any Accidental or Medical Insurance. I hereby release, and agree to indemnify, and hold harmless the Festival at Sandpoint, its officers, agents, staff and employees from any and all liability, damages, and/or claims of any nature whatsoever arising out of, or in any way related to, my volunteer work at, before, or after FAS. If the Volunteer is less than 18 years of age, the Volunteer and the parents having legal custody and/or the legal guardians of the Volunteer (the "Guardians") also hereby release and forever discharge the Released Parties from any claim whatsoever which arises.
3. Theft/Loss/Damage of Property. I shall be personally responsible and liable for any theft or loss of money or property, or damage to property entrusted to me by FAS during my shift, and understand and agree that in the event that property or money entrusted to me during my shift is lost, stolen or damaged, I shall be liable for the value of such loss or damage.
4. Alcohol/Illegal Drugs. I agree to abstain from using any and all alcohol and/or illegal drugs prior to or during my scheduled shifts at FAS. I understand that FAS requires all volunteers to abide by Idaho State Law with regard to the use, possession and/or transport of any illegal drug or controlled substance. Failure to abide by this rule will result in immediate dismissal and the loss of all privileges as a volunteer. I will not wear my volunteer t-shirt during the festival at any time I am not actively engaged as a volunteer at the festival, or at any time when I am, or maybe, consuming any alcoholic beverage on the premises of any FAS venue.
5. Dismissal. I understand that my volunteer service is a privilege and not a right and that it is completely discretionary with the management of FAS. If I fail to conduct myself in accordance with this Volunteer Agreement, either during FAS or in relation to my status as a volunteer, I may be dismissed from volunteer service, which will result in a Loss of all volunteer Privileges, at the sole discretion of FAS staff and the Volunteer Coordinator.
6. Agency. I understand that I am not an agent or employee of FAS, nor am I authorized to transact business, enter into agreements, or otherwise make commitments or waive any requirements for attendance or participation at the festival, on behalf of the festival unless, expressly authorized in writing by FAS. I understand this is, and is intended to be, a legally binding agreement between me and FAS, and by submitting this registration for a potential volunteer position, I agree to be bound by all the above obligations and requirements should I be accepted as a FAS Volunteer.
7. If the volunteer is under 18, a legal parent or guardian will be required to indicate agreement to this document as well via a separate form which will be sent via email to collect a digital signature.
